Explanation of Work:

I’ve seen a lot of photos that take a place that is familiar and make it look abstract and alien. I take scenes that are familiar and show that they contain beauty and joy. I don’t want my viewers to say, “It must be interesting to visit places like that and meet people like that,” rather, I want them to say, “I do live in a place like that and I know people like that!”

I want to open people’s eyes to the beauty in the familiar. My aim is not to criticize or remake the world; it is to defend it in all its glorious and frustrating diversity.

The things I want to show would be distorted by cold analysis or maudlin sentimentality. Either approach would hide, rather than reveal, the things that I see and want to convey to others.

Art Prints, samples and where to buy

My goal in photography is to show beauty and wonder in the world while faithfully representing things as they are, always showing respect for both subject and viewer.

  Portrait Work samples and fees

A good portrait should reveal the person who is photographed. My goal is show all the beauty that is in every person regardless of age, health or physical beauty as defined by Madison Avenue.
